Central Research Question
Describing the meaning of an FGSV as a student veteran whose parents have no college or post-secondary experience (Jenner, 2017; Vacchi, 2012), how do first-generation student veterans describe their college experience at brick and mortar institutions?

What challenges, if any, do participants describe they encountered as they move into college from the military? According to Schlossberg’s Transition Theory, guiding Question One strives to increase understanding of the concept moving in (Chickering & Schlossberg, 1995; Schlossberg, 1981, 1984).
