You must watch a Prince George City Council Meeting from the webcast archive. City You must observe a minimum of 1.5 hours of the proceeding and then write a report on your observations.
Assignment details: Write a summary report of your experience. This summary must be typed, double spaced, and 2 – 3 pages in length. This is an individual assignment, you may watch a meeting with classmates but you are each responsible for your own individual report. Copying, plagiarizing, or otherwise reproducing each other work will result in a failing grade for all the papers involved.
Your summary should include your thoughts and opinions on the proceeding you observed. This is a critical thinking assignment: tell me what you thought about the process, was it interesting? Boring? Frustrating? A summary that includes only the agenda of what happened, with no personal reflection, will not receive full marks.
Answer the following questions for at least two (2) applications made before the Council:
1) What is the question? Briefly describe what you understand the issue or proposal to be. 2) What was the Council’s decision? 3) Do you agree or disagree with Council’s decision? Why?
